Love & Letters October - A monthly note from Marcie

Dear Friends,

Happy October!

Fall is officially here in New York City. The weather is getting cooler, the sun is setting
earlier, and somehow, we’ve made it through the first full month of school. Everyone
seems happily settled back into the rhythm of classes, homework, sports, and after-
school activities, which always feels like a small victory. Hard to believe that the boys
are in 6 th , 8 th, and 11 th grades (no more lower school for this family).

At Dear Annabelle, we are officially gearing up for the holidays. The fourth quarter is our
busiest time of year, but also one of the most energizing. There is so much happening
behind the scenes, and we have lots of fun new launches coming your way.

Last month we launched our limited-edition With Love notecards in support of the
Scarlett Fund at Memorial Sloan Kettering. I was completely blown away by the
response. We sold through nearly half of our stock in the first week and a half! There
are still a few sets left, so if you haven’t gotten yours yet, now is the time. I love this set,
but even more importantly, I love that it supports pediatric cancer research, a cause that
means so much to all of us.

On Thursday we launched our new desk calendars, and I couldn’t be more excited
about how they turned out. Each one comes with its own easel so you can keep it on
your desk all year long. Next year we’ll offer calendar refills separately, but since this is
our first year, we’re selling them together as a set. I hope that you love them as much as
I do – can’t wait to see them on your desks.

And there is so much more to come. We have fun new cocktail napkin sets up on our
website, a very chic pencil cup, and a collaboration launching later this week that I am
especially excited about. I can’t share too much just yet, but it supports an important
initiative that we are very proud to get behind. Keep an eye on your inbox for more
details.

Things I’m loving:

• TV!!: Apparently, I was in the mood for a little action this month. I binge-watched
  Lioness Season 3 and The Gentleman Season 2 and loved them both.
• GOOP Kitchen: It has officially arrived in New York, and they deliver! I’ve already
  become a little obsessed. My favorites so far are the Brentwood Chinese Chicken Salad
  and the Mosey’s BBQ Chicken Pizza. Both are so good.
• Japanese apricots: Not the chicest thing that I’ve ever recommended, but they are sort
  of yummy and let’s just say, very helpful at keeping things moving. IYKYK. Here’s a link

October always feels like the moment the year suddenly speeds up. One minute we’re
getting everyone back to school, and the next week we are talking about Thanksgiving,
holiday cards, and gifting. I have a feeling that the next few months are going to fly by.
In the meantime, I’m trying to enjoy these first real days of fall in New York before the
holiday madness officially begins.
