They’re Bored

Guys like variety.  After having sex with the same person for a long time we want a change of pace (or ass).

Biology

Some shrinks say that biology makes men cheat.  Men are hunters and monogamy goes against our natural inclination to hunt and dominate.  You can decide if you buy into that theory.

It’s Just Sex

Men can separate sex from love.  We can do a girl for 5 years without any emotional attachment.  Because of this, men don’t see cheating as cheating because they don’t love the girl they’re doing.

They’re Unhappy in Their Relationship

This is the #1 reason why women cheat but some men find themselves in the same situation.  They might cheat so they can get caught and break up or for emotional affection. Men aren’t total robots, we need mushy stuff too sometimes.

They Like The Attention

When a woman shows interest in us it’s exciting and some guys capitalize on it.

James Bond

James Bond bangs a lot of women and he is coolest guy of all time.  We want to be James Bond.

The Thrill

Some guys get off on the thrill of not getting caught.

They’re Not Getting Sex at Home

Men need to have sex.  If they’re not getting it at home they’re going to be tempted to seek it out somewhere else.

They Can

Some guys cheat for one or all of the reasons above.  If they get caught and you don’t kick them to the curb, you’ve given them the green light to do it over and over again.

Bottom Line

Not all guys cheat but most guys encounter the urge at some point in their relationship be it a rough patch or temptation.  If a guy makes the decision to cheat, whatever was stopping him in the first place is gone and isn’t going to come back.  The saying, once a cheater, always a cheater is often true because those guys don’t think cheating is a big deal.
